• If you add resistance in series, it adds up (current is constant, voltage is split)
• If you add resistance in parallel, the reciprocals add up to reciprocal of resistance (voltage is constant, current is split)

• Find the effective resistance across points A and B

• Switch on and off - In the circuit below, use the switches to light up the desired bulbs

• Brightness of bulbs - What does it depend on? (Power = I^2R, so for identical bulbs, it depends on I)

• Infinite Circles of Resistors  - In the circuit below colored lines are 1 Ohm resistors, and black lines are connecting wires. The first (innermost) circle has 8 resistors, the next 16, the next 32 and so on infinitely. What is the total resistance of the circuit?

• (Geoffrey - 149) 15 Turks and 15 Christians were aboard a ship caught in a severe storm. The captain decided to throw half of the passengers overboard. To be fair, he asked everyone to stand in the circle, and he would throw every 13th person in the circle. A clever Christian pointed out to his fellow man a way to stand so that only all the turks would get thrown out. Can you find that arrangement?
